There will be seven special events held during October to celebrate Health and Wellbeing Month. They are listed here in order of date:
Health Kiosk
30 September - 4 November - Library Level 2
The Health Kiosk is about the size of a photo booth and allows you to conduct a health self-check.
You can find out your height, weight, BMI, body fat percentage, blood pressure and resting heart rate and have all these details emailed or texted to you, or receive a printout on the spot.
No booking required, just drop in!
Free Massages
Tuesday 8 October, 10am - 4pm, Civil Engineering Building, Room G6

Ride2Work/Uni Day
Wednesday 16 October, 8am - 10am, outside The Whitehouse
In 2019, Ride2Work/Uni Day is on Wednesday 16 October. Thousands of Australians will embrace active travel and ride their bikes to work and uni on this day to celebrate.
Why don't you try it too - then join us from 8am - 10am outside The Whitehouse for healthy breakfast and some tips from Arc's Bikeology student volunteers.
Free coffee for all students and staff who ride to the UNSW Whitehouse!
Nutritionist Advice and Information Table
Wednesday 16 October, 9am - 12pm, Library Walkway
What we eat affects how we feel, what we think, how we sleep, and of course our health. Visit our nutritionist this morning to have your questions answered and get all the information you need on smart food swaps and preparing food on a budget.
No need to book - just drop by!
Cooking Demonstration and Tasting
Thursday 17 October, 12pm - 1pm, Kenvale College, 38 High Street, Randwick
Come to Kenvale College and enjoy a demonstration by a professional chef and lecturer on how to cook healthy and delicious meals.
Two delicious dishes (one vegetarian) will be presented during the hour with tasting samples provided for everyone.

Safety and Wellbeing Celebration
Tuesday 29 October, 12pm - 2pm, Mathews Pavilions
The annual Safety and Wellbeing Celebration is our way of saying thank you to all Health & Safety Representatives, those staff who are members of a building emergency team and our Wellbeing Champions. We also celebrate those who participated in the Global Challenge this year.
Global Challenge Awards Ceremony begins at 1pm including prizes for the most improved individual, most improved team and more.
Fantastic lucky door prizes are to be won and a lovely lunch will be provided. Registration is essential to enter the lucky door prize draw and registrations will close on Tuesday 22 October.
UNSW Urban Growers Teaching and Research Garden Launch
Thursday 31 October, 11am-2pm, The Cage, NE Corner, Barker Street Carpark
Formal launch by Professor Merlin Crossley, DVC Academic, at 1.15pm
All staff and students are invited to the launch of the UNSW Urban Growers Teaching and Research Garden. A joint initiative of the Scientia Education Academy and the Grand Challenge on Rapid Urbanisation, brought to fruition by UNSW Growers, the Teaching and Research Garden is a resource for staff and students.
All welcome - come down and get your hands dirty planting to help make UNSW Kensington campus greener!
